Rick Fairbourn
With degrees in Electrical Engineering and Systems Engineering, Rick served in the US Navy and has engineered vast systems for 20 years beyond his military service. Since beginning his career as an instructor of nuclear physics, nuclear power, and reactor controls at the Naval Nuclear Power School at King’s Bay, NC. He has performed systems engineering and integration on the Ares I First Stage avionics and controls system, Minuteman III Nuclear Command, Control, Communications system, and Sentinel weapon systems engineering. He has extensive experience in requirements development, integration, system analysis, verification and testing programs.
Rick has provided critical support to the development of missile controls, weapon system architecture, analysis, and process development. With experience implementing many systems engineering tools and software packages, Rick focuses on the required systems engineering content to develop, produce, operate, and sustain a system, while using the right tools and processes for the job. Ricks knowledge across multiple systems, working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, makes him an asset for executing nuclear power systems programs.
